The opportunity

This is a rare chance to be the person who shapes who Senpilot becomes. As our first in-house recruiter, you'll own the entire talent function from the ground up - sourcing, outreach, pipeline building, and closing. We're an extremely selective team with a high bar for both talent and culture, and we need someone who can move fast, think creatively, and obsess over finding exceptional people. You'll work out of our Toronto office alongside the founding team.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end recruiting across engineering, product, and go-to-market roles
• Build and execute proactive outreach strategies to engage top-tier passive candidates
• Develop and maintain a robust talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs
• Champion Senpilot's culture throughout the hiring process - every touchpoint matters
• Partner directly with the CEO and leadership to define role requirements and hiring priorities
• Continuously improve our recruiting systems, tools, and processes as we build AI first tools

What we're looking for

• 2-5 years of recruiting experience, ideally at a high-growth startup or top-tier tech company
• Proven track record of sourcing and closing exceptional candidates in competitive markets
• Strong instincts for culture fit - you can spot the difference between "great on paper" and "great for us"
• Scrappy and resourceful - you don't wait for inbound, you go find the best people
• Excellent written communication and a genuine ability to sell a vision
• Passion for AI, startups, or energy/infrastructure is a strong plus

• Compensation: CAD $75,000 - $105,000 all-in
• Reports to: CEO
